About Me
High-tech tomatoes. Mysterious milk. Supersquash. Are we supposed to eat this stuff? Or is it going to eat us?
-Annita Manning
My name is Emma Lynn and I believes in keeping nutrition simple, and try to cut through the jargon that often surrounds the nutrition and diet industry.
I have a passion for nutrition, particularly in weight management and in addition to holding a Master's degree in nutrition, have completed an Open University course on obesity. I also regularly attend conferences and education days to ensure my knowledge is always up to date.
I believe that encouraging people to make a series of small and manageable lifestyle changes is the key to longer term health gains. Making smaller changes encourage people to form long-term sustainable habits, rather than making sweeping lifestyle changes. Big short-term changes results in short term weight loss followed by longer term weight gain and weight-cycling behaviour which is more damaging physically and psychologically.
I have experience in presenting information to a wide variety of audiences, including Telegraph Slimmers, a Grimsby and Scunthorpe Media Group slimming initiative for which I was the consultant nutritionist.
Make a decision to think of food as nourishment instead of entertainment. Eat what your body needs, not what your taste buds desire.
